The first-class event of the imaging scene!
For the 5th time pieces de résistance of worldwide recognized photographers and projects of prize winning fledgling artists are presented by Visual Gallery at photokina – world of imaging 2010.
As central element of the creative meeting point “by professionals for professionals” the exhibition is ranging from photo documentation over photo design and photojournalism up to photographic art.
Curated by Daniel Hug and organized by Juliane Rückriem, this first-class event of the imaging scene is a displaying window of the current photo art and an appropriate stage for the image.
As interface between industry and creative scene, and with prominent involvement as well as a high-quality prize giving ceremony, Visual Gallery offers a unique, media relevant platform.
The masterpieces of photography are completed with the sections „meet the Professionals“ and „Academy meets photokina“and is open to public free of charge on more than 4,000 sq. m. in hall 1 of the cologne trade fairground.

Cologne Music Night

The music is on in Cologne!
This will be clearer than ever at the Night of Music on 25.09.2010, when around 400 musicians will be on stage at some 100 concerts in 25 different locations.
For the first time, Cologne’s Night of Music is working in cooperation with photokina. Four concerts will be held in the Visual Gallery at the exhibition centre. The special combination ticket available for 24 euros enables the Night of Music audience and visitors to the world's leading trade fair for photography and imaging to enjoy both the concerts and photokina over the weekend of 25/26 September.
